[Bug 268219] [NEW] [Intrepid alpha 5]Unable to kill firefox

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Firefox 3.0.1 blocked while closing, so when i tried to open another instance, it said "Firefox is already running" etc.
I opened a terminal window and gave "pidof firefox", which correctly told me that firefox's PID was 12345.
So i tried "sudo kill 12345" and it didn't work. Even "killall firefox" didn't work.
