See the stories above, maybe a solution there exists. But nothing is
broken in Ubuntu and it's perfectly capable of accomplishing the same
tasks as before - many suspect foul play is at hand here as hotmail
tried to deliberately break it.

Maybe try contacting support at hotmail.com, I don't know. Chances are
they'll just tell you that they only support Internet Explorer under
Windows only.
