Frédéric,  thanks for the tip and fast response.  Based on my googling,
this package is no longer necessary with 8.10.  See this bug:

Since I used the Update Manager to upgrade to 8.10 I am guessing it
removed that package automatically.

I will make sure I have "libasound2-plugins" installed as referenced by
the bug above.  If I do I guess I will try to find a deb for
"libflashsupport" from somewhere and see if that resolves the issue.
