Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
while creating a new tab to browse in firefox, (ctrl+T shortcut) , the previous text entered in the upper right research bar is not cleared. I m seeing this for couple of years , and think is not ergonomic , for me , the researched text should be attached to the tab where we initiated the search , if we have to tabs with two differents searches , switching from one tab to another should show the search attached to the tab we actually browse.
creating a new tab should blank the research field because we do use a lot middle click copy/paste system and while the research field has ever some text in, you are obliged to erase it before and the mor often , you loose the selection you would liked to paste with middle click
** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
