This bug was fixed in the package freedict - 1.3-4ubuntu1

  * Merge from debian unstable (LP: #175106) (LP: #234193).
  * Remaining ubuntu changes :
    - debian/control: Change maintainer field per Ubuntu specification (LP: #230350).
    - debian/control: Add ara-eng dictionary.
    - debian/patches: Add ara-eng dictionary from
      ftp://ftp.dict.org/dict/pre/www.freedict.de/20050319/ .
    - debian/rules: Add ara-eng dictionary.
