Nice customer service... so much in the spirit of Ubuntu.

Since it installed the flash itself and it was some weird version that
didn't work, I contend it is a bug.  Doesn't matter, I went back to
Firefox 2 and things are working now.

You might consider working for Microsoft.  Your attitude seems perfect.

This isnt a bug. If one doesnt know how to properly install flash,
please point to the forums
