I tried installing both apps in Facebook with FF3 and Hardy, but they
worked fine for me. What extensions are you using in FF? What do the
truncated URLs look like?

Take a look here and try running Firefox with a fresh profile.

You may have buggy addons that are interfering with the URLs.
