Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

I suspect this bug is definitely related to bug 37828 and is filed here
to track the issue. Please mark as wontfix/upstream.

Thunderbird renders justified text with ligatures wrongly. Attached is
a test case.

I.e. "fix" will have letters drawn on top of each other, "off on" will
appear as "offon".
