thunderbird:   
Installed: 2.0.0.14+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1   
Candidate: 2.0.0.14+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1. 

When clicking the send button occasionally, the program crashes and the
email currently being composed it lost. Occasionally if attempting to
attach a file, when clicking on Attach causes the program to crash and
lose the email currently being composed.

Note: first bug file. Have tried to follow guidelines for correct
submission and information required.
