[Bug 229210] [NEW] Please load the first 10 messages while the other 1000 load in the background

I have a lot of mail in Gmail.  Today, I wanted to read emails with the
label "FAMILY";  I'm excited about IMAP, and I configured Thunderbird to
use IMAP with my Gmail account.  It's still not enough to replace Gmail
100%, since it doesn't have conversation view, but that's another bug...

Description of the bug:
I need to wait for all the headers to download before I can read the first header.

To reproduce the bug:
1. Gather tons of email without reading it in Thunderbird
2. Attempt to view your email in Thunderbird with IMAP 
   (does this affect POP as well? yes, but the solution is slightly different)
3. Twiddle your thumbs while waiting for your email headers to load

In contrast, the following explains how I would like Thunderbird to work:
1. Click on "FAMILY" folder (it's really a label)
2. First N KB of headers are *quickly* downloaded (probably about 10 emails worth)
3. Quick-fetch headers are displayed
4. Meanwhile... 
4. a. remaining headers are downloaded in the background
4. b. a friendly "loading additional headers" message is displayed beneath the last header from the quick-fetch
5. Upon completion, all headers are displayed, and we have merged with the current behavior.
