As an ltsp user, I agree that it would be ideal to include this as a
dependency.  I spent quite a bit of time trying to get YouTube to work
over ltsp before realizing that simply installing this package fixed the
problem.  I understand that the Adobe plugin is extremely buggy and
crashy though.
