[Bug 228221] [NEW] Thunderbird folders not showing number of unread messages until clicked on

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have many accounts with many folders and many automatic filters/rules.
I find that unless I actually click on a folder, I won't know that
there's email in it. The inbox shows unread messages as they come it,
but the sub folder need to be clicked on to refresh and show the number
of unread mail.
