[Bug 227688] [NEW] Using Ubuntu-Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5, there seems to be no way I can clean out the address bar autocomplete. If you respond, hope you will start me from Ubuntu or Firefox taskbar, eg click on Edit-Preferences, etc.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I am using Ubutnu Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5. It does not seem to allow
me any way to delete address bar history. Eg I type in www the first
entry I see is "Sex Education in Public Schools" I highlight it and hit
Delete or CTRl-Delete or Alt-Delete and the item vanishes but reappears
the next time www is typed in the address bar.

Deleting history files when exiting Firefox has no effect on the address
bar history. I would like to set autocomplete features off completely
as I am a pretty fast keyboarder and selecting items is usually slower
for me than typing them.
