Hi John,
actually, I use the "FireFox (default) 2.0" theme that was present after
upgrading my system from ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 and in addition I use a
theme called "Aquatint Redone 3.0.1". But no matter what theme I
activate, the problem persists. Even starting FireFox in "safe-mode"
with all options of the preceding dialog deactivated doesn't solve
anything.
In addition, I switched the whole desktop theme to "Clearlooks" wich is
in it's original state. And also that made no difference.
I only use one extension within FireFox:
- "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications 0.5" that also came with the upgrade.
In the case of importance, I have the following plugins installed:
- Default Plugin
- Demo Print Plugin for unix/linux
- DivX (R) WebPlayer 1.4.0.233
- Helix DNA Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible (compatible; Totem)
- iTunes Application Detector
- QuickTime Plug-in 7.2.0
- Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115
- Totem Web Browser Plugin 2.22.1
- VLC Multimedia Plugin (compatible Totem 2.22.1)
- Windows Media Player Plug-in 10 (compatible; Totem)
I hope, I didn't forget one. And I have two files attached:
- a screenshot with the (borderless) first entry of the favourites menu
- a dump of the about:mozilla command
Kind regards - Paul
