[Bug 191868] Re: Firefox takes 15 minutes to start and hangs on menu click

I am having this problem also after I upgraded from Kubuntu 7.10 to 8.04.
I removed .mozilla/firefox, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 3 Beta and upgraded to Beta 5.  No joy.

If I wait around 15 minutes firefox will start if launched in a shell with this output:
