Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
I installed a fresh Ubuntu 8.04 beta on my Toshiba U200-163 (intel
graphic driver).
I experience a severe lag when scrolling on page with Javascript (such
as Gmail). It takes ages to scroll down the page, line after line and
the scroll continue for 10 or 15 seconds after I stopped scrolling.
This is when using Metacity and no compiz at all.
When using Compiz, this bug appears on all pages, even a straight google
search.
It must be noted that this was never the case with Firefox 2. Epiphany
is also affected.
** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
