[Bug 198606] [NEW] Thunderbird constantly complains when IMAP server offline

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
I have my Thunderbird configured for several IMAP servers. One of them
is only accessible from inside a certain network. Whenever I connect to
the internet outside of this network, I cannot access that IMAP server.
When this is the case, Thunderbird repeatedly complains that it cannot
contact that server. I have set that account to never check for new
messages, but the dialog boxes keep coming.
I suppose the expected behavior would be to show the "server timed out"
dialog once per server per session. After that, maybe it should put a
little warning sign next to that server's icon until it can reestablish
the connection, but it definitely should not keep popping up the same
dialog every few minutes.
