[Bug 244198] [NEW] Customizations Lost when firefox 3 is closed

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 8.04 i386
Firefox 3.0

When right clicking on toolbar in firefox 3, i select customize toolbar
and drag the new tab button to the toolbar. Then once i close firefox
and open it up again it will have removed the new tab button.

Attempted to fix by creating entire new toolbar and adding all the
navigation items to that and upon closing firefox and opening it again
the toolbar was gone.

Tried using multiple themes to no avail
