[Bug 242754] [NEW] Firefox displays weird characters on webpages

Two days ago I installed the new Firefox 3.0.  when I upgraded my OS to Ubuntu 8.10. I've tried different uni-codes, but nothing helps. Pages are unreadable. See attachment for an example (an online Firefox webpage)
