Some days before I installed the Google Toolbar for Firefox
3.1.20080605L (which is now compatible with Firefox 3.0. Everything seem
to work fine except the bookmarks feature. Normally, clicking Bookmarks
on the Toolbar should show all my bookmarks (after I have signed in the
Google Toolbar with my Google Account). Now, clicking Bookmarks shows
"Downloading bookmarks..." for ever (until I release the Bookmarks
button).

Others seem to have the same problem (see http://groups.google.com/group
/FFToolbar-Group-Bugs/browse_thread/thread/ec7f94586c882c8). From the
comments there it seems as if almost all users have this problem only
with the Ubuntu 8.04.1 customized version of firefox-3.0. I can confirm
that the problem doesn't exist on my macbook with Mac OS 10.5.3 and
Firefox 3.0.
