Hi Dimitrios,

Attached screen shot: here I have duplicated what things look like with
FF3 with my FF2 install (I had to remove 3). Note I have moved the
navigation buttons but even with a no attachments install and no
modifications the bars are gone with the first opening after install.

I have tried the customize tool and resetting toolbars. The search and
URL bars do not show up under customize when they are missing.

I have not had this much of a problem installing or upgrading Firefox
before.  I consider myself somewhat of an experienced user of this
software but that doesn't mean I couldn't have gone and did something
stupid. A rouge file left behind from a previous install? I have also
started Firefox in safe mode from the terminal.
