I tried disabling the two new extensions I added today (xpather and dom-
inspector), which did not change anything.  I did not try disabling the
other extensions, I'll try that tomorrow.

I now have persistent bookmarks in Firefox.

3.0~rc1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 is the update I just installed today,
I don't know if I was having the problem earlier but I'm definitely
having it with this version.
