Disabling firefox extensions did not have any effect.

I am unable to complete the advised instructions due to the crash
leaving me unable to regain the (gdb) prompt. After crash I ctrl-alt-F3
to a console and must kill firefox because my desktop is hung until I do
that. I am probably doing this all wrong - am very new to this.

I will pursue it more if you can advise me how to proceed. I am just
trying to help by reporting a bug. I am using xubuntu temporarily on an
old Optiplex while my main box is in for repairs.
