please run find $HOME/.mozilla/firefox | grep localstore.rdf and
attach that file to this bug.

further, please try to run firefox in safe mode from the command line
to see if it goes away:

 firefox -safe-mode

If all this doesn't help, please backup your $HOME/.mozilla/ to a
safe place, and remove "compreg.dat, extensions.*, XUL.mfasl and
localstore.rdf " from the directory where you found localstore.rdf.

If the last step solved your problems, please keep your old .mozilla
directory for further analysis. Thanks!
