I don't remember creating a custom launcher - as I recall FF was the
only launcher on the task bar from a fresh install of Xubuntu 6.

The file /usr/share/xfce4/helpers/firefox.desktop contains the obsolete
reference to "Icon=firefox" on line 4.  Two other launchers are ok.
