Hi, I don't think this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251571

I'd read that one before posting. While they are similar (and probably
closely related), there is a subtle difference. That other report
relates to the icons in the folder tree panel, while this report instead
relates to the icons in the subject field of the message listing panel.

Perhaps fixing one will resolve the other, but perhaps not.
