Solved ! I took a hint from http://www.redhat.com/archives/redhat-
sysadmin-list/2007-August/msg00001.html and it provided a workaround the
problem : Firefox fails to let users attach documents in Gmail and other
webmails with an AJAX attachment widget if the user login name is more
than eight characters long. But even if I have solved it locally using
this workaround, I still think there is a bug somewhere - so please
don't close this issue yet.
