[Bug 183044] SSL Broken after upgrade to Hardy from Gutys in Firefox and Thunderbird

Public bug reported:

After upgrading to hardy heron from gutsy both Firefox 2.0 and
Thunderbird 2.0 would not connect to SSL pages. Uninstalling, removing
profiles, and shared directories did NOT fix the problem. Problem does
not exist in Firefox 3.0 or Swiftweasel and Swiftdove (which I am now
using).
