This looks like a bug in the flashplayer that you are using.  Could you
please add the full output of the command 'file /etc/alternatives
/mozilla-flashplugin' ?

Additionally, I'd really like to know if you sent the png file as an
e-mail attachment the first time as this may be a bug in how attachments
are handled by Launchpad.  Thanks again!
