so seems firefox uses gnome_url_show for "open" (already downloaded), in
contrast to the nsIMIMEService/nsIMimeInfo facilities for the "open with
..." for active download.

The former seems to be broken for OOO documents. A fix should unify the
code paths and make both use the same backend somehow.
