Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
firefox frequently freezes when selecting links to pages with quite some
graphical content, e.g. when surfing to http://livescience.com and
surfing around on this page.
The behaviour is as follows: the circular wait cursor is shown, then the
window turns colorless darkgrey-black, system is irresponsive, and after
some 20 to 30 seconds, color comes back and everything is back to normal
(not all media is available, but that's a different problem, I think)
The firefox of the xp virtual machine that I run (using virtualbox) does
not suffer this problem. It is very responsive, and even shows all media
content.
