[Bug 260116] [NEW] printing in Firefox fails when used from a virtual desktop

Public bug reported:

System is Ubuntu 8.04.1, with all latest updates installed.

I am running a virtual desktop using vnc4server (version
4.1.1+xorg1.0.2-0ubuntu7).

When running Firefox on the virtual desktop, most (but not all!) web
pages will not print. Printing to a physical printer results in no
output being produced. Printing to PDF results in a PDF file containing
a single blank page.

Have verified that the pages print correctly when running on the real
display instead of a virtual desktop. Have also verified that the
problem exists on both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Ubuntu.

Example of page which does print:
http://slashdot.org/

Printing from other applications (e.g. OpenOffice) seems to work fine
when running on the virtual desktop.
