Hello Andreas Moog,
sorry...my english is not good...please excuse me.

To the first Question: the Thunderbird-Program has any responsing.

I'm update (about 3 Month ago) my Ubuntu 7.10 german with ubuntu-update
to Hardy Heron (8.04 LTS). But my Celeron 1.3 GHz is not good for this
System.
I had the Problem: Ubuntu (or Gnome with Compiz-Function?...i don't
know) need TO MANY power
...and my PC (Desktop, any Programs, Mouse...simply all) becoming
complete unresponsive.

I'm new installing Ubuntu 7.10 german (with DVD)...and update with the
Internet (with USB-HSDPA-Modem, HUAWEI 7.2)
...and all Things are good. For two Week's ago, i'm install the
xfce-Desktop-manager (on very fast) for my Ubuntu 7.10.
I thing, on it's the best Desktop-Manager for Ubuntu for this maschine.
But about 2 Month ago, my Thunderbird had this problem, that i'm writing
on launchpad.

To my another PC (AMD-Duron 1.8 GHz), i have installed Ubuntu 8.04
LTS...this is good.
But i want the installed the xfce-Manager for this (Gnome is not realy
fast, so i think)

Is this problem (with my Celeron 1.3 GHz-PC with Thunderbird) only a
problem with ubuntu 7.10-Version?

Many Thanks and a good Day
