Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

This is either a bug in firefox 3 or in the horrid snap.com thingies.
The best way to deal with it of course is to eliminate snap.com nonsense
altogether either by installing greasemonkey and then installing the
script to get rid of snap.com from userscripts.org (works very nicely),
or to block the snap.com domain using something like adblocker.

That said, just in case the problem is with firefox, this is what
happens: I go to a page, usually a wordpress blog (try
http://angryfrenchguy.com/2008/08/05/there-is-no-such-thing-as-the-
quebec-language-police/), and this rectangle thing pops up. It is
obviously not displaying correctly because there is a bit of the
underlying image within it and no advertising (as if I wanted it). There
are various things you can click on that look like they ought to give
you a way to close the window, such as the big X in the top right
corner, but none of them do. The window thingy is quite chunky and makes
reading the page next to impossible.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
