i get a similar problem

firefox 3.0.1 crashes when trying to get into nvidia site or yahoo
movies when using flash 10 beta either from the adobe site or using
intrepid pack (flashplugin-
nonfree_10.0.1.218+10.0.0.525ubuntu1_i386.deb)

im using ubuntu hardy 8.04.1 fully updated including proposed
repositories
