Hello,
i think i have the same bug...
Sometimes search bar doesn't work. The google icon is on the left of the search text field. But i tested with Yahoo icon and it doesn't work again.

2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 23:41:49 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
firefox -v
Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1, Copyright (c) 1998 - 2008 mozilla.org
