Its very simple and works like in windows

Just open youre terminal and type
$picasa [link]

The link you can find when you open youre album in firefox and go to
right click and go to view source then simply hit ctrl + f to search for
picasa:// then copy it (ctrl + c) and paste as [link] as described above
