The bug appears to be in MC

On updating from 7.10 to 8.04LTS the system immediately requested
registration to send a bug report but could not send it as Firefox was
started but not responding.

On rebooting Firefox works perfectly and I'm using the registration
e-mail to send the bug report (hopefully containing the details
extracted at the time).
