Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I didn't have a java plugin installed. Browsing to a site with an
embedded java applet, such as http://www.dailyscroggle.com/ caused
firefox to display the "install missing plugins" bar as it should.
Clicking on "install missing plugins" gave one option, for the GCJ web
plugin.

Clicking "next" with this selected simply closed the plugin finder
window. The site refreshed, and the "install missing plugins" bar popped
up again.

I'm running up-to-date Hardy AMD64.

steps to reproduce:
* with no java plugin installed, browse to http://www.dailyscroggle.com/
* try to use "install missing plugins" to install a java plugin

Expected result:
selected plugin is installed and used

Actual result:
nothing happens

After I used Synaptic to install "icedtea-gcjwebplugin", java applets
(such as the one on that site) seem to display fine.
