[Bug 213767] [NEW] Selected radio buttons and check-boxes appear blank

Public bug reported:

A snapshot is attached. That check-box for "This attachment is a patch"
is selected. If I click away from that spot on the window, it will
appear checked. However, you cannot figure out for example whether a
check box is clicked or unclicked without clicking another area of the
window that will unselect the check box. Feel free to ask if this is
unclear.
