added a workaround.

** Summary changed:

- launching 3.x: profile rendered useless.
+ firefox 2 extensions installed in profile break after starting ffox 3 (by accident)

** Description changed:

+ Workaround: manually remove the extensions.* files in your profile (e.g.
+ extensions.cache extensions.ini extensions.rdf)
+
  Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

  - upgraded to current hardy build
  - launched firefox 3.0 for the first time
  - gone through the "checking for plugin updates" section
  - found that some plugins I don't yet want to go with do not so far offer any ff 3.x compliant versions
  - installed and launched firefox-2 again.

Situation, afterwards: Firefox 2.x starts up using the old profile. All
addons are found while looking into the Addon Manager, but none of them
does actually work anymore, the UI is "plain Firefox 2" without any
extensions. Any attempts trying to get the old profile back to life
failed so far. Cleaned the profile and started anew manually
reinstalling all the extensions. Was able to reproduce this by
accidentially starting the "wrong" version of firefox (3.x), resulting
in the same outcome. Not terribly bad, but amazingly annoying. ;)
