[Bug 144356] Audio from Flash in Firefox does not go to correct sound device

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

On my laptop I use a USB sound card, and it is selected in the Sound
manager as the device for all sound to go to. All applications correctly
use it except for Flash (in Firefox) which goes out to my laptop
speakers.

This is annoying because I have to listen to the sound through poor
speakers instead of through my sound system, but the REAL killer is that
if unexpected sound comes on, it takes forever to get muted (because all
the keyboard shortcuts / sound icons manage the USB card, the default
device), and there is just blaring sound until I can get to the right
setting to mute the laptop audio. This can be a real show-stopper in a
public place, or just when the audio is literally painfully loud and I
can't effectively mute it.

This existed in Feisty and in fact I remember seeing bug reports about
it but I can't find any for Gutsy or locate the old ones. Sorry in
advance if this was filed improperly. Thanks for any help!

** Affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
