Thank you jacob for submitting this report.
Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions
on [1], or upload the crash report that probably was generated during
the crash and that should be located at /var/crash/ to [2].
Please indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if
this crash is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it (it is
very important for us to have a test case for each crash).
This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.
Thanks in advance.
H. Montoliu

** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided => Medium
Assignee: (unassigned) => Mozilla Bugs
Status: New => Incomplete
** Summary changed:
- Firefox closes on Main in Preferences
+ [FEISTY] firefox crashed
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: firefox
+
+ ...Firefox closes on Main in Preferences
Wubi 7.04 install (very cool btw)
Set home page to bungi.net (typo; supposed to be bungie.net) Now if I
try to get into firefox preferences>Main (as soon as i select Main) all
firefox browsers close.
When firefox is launched, it clocks, unable to find bungi.net because it
is an invalid site.
To sum it up: I typo'd my home page and I can't get back in to fix the
address because firefox will close when I try to get to where I need to
edit.
I am still looking for a workaround, other than using a different
browser. At this time I can reproduce the bug every time attempted.
