Okay, turns out you only need to install the flashplugin-nonfree package
to fix this, installing gnash is unneccessary. The issue is, as stated
above, probably having flash installed before hand on 7.04 with nsplugin
wrapper. i used the nspluginwrapper install script by kilz, over in
ubuntu forums. Small bug but one that has affected many, as indicated by
the number of replies to my thread describing the fix (again,
ubuntuforums)
