Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
I'm using UBUNTU 7.10 on an ASUS P5K with an Intel Core2 Duo. The
wireless USB adapter is a NETGEAR 311v2.
When I connect directly to the DSL modem (wired), I can access www, but
it takes 70 seconds to access msn. When I connect through the wireless
USB adapter, I can download and access various help sites (https), but I
can not surf. I can not access anything if I enable roaming, in the
wireless mode, so I configure manually. Everything is exceedingly slow
compared to windows and to an earlier PC using Feisty.
I have a "quasi" dual boot system with Windows Vista. -- UBUNTU and
Vista are on separate hard drives. There are no network problems when
using Vista (Lots of other problems, though).
