Hi Alexander,
It does indeed cause the same errors ("atiredmachine at linux-desktop:~$ firefox -safe-mode
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so [/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32]
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: NPP_New() invoke: Message timeout
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so [/usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32]
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: NPP_New() invoke: Message timeout") when running in safemode.

When this happens (any time a page has flash embeded in it) Firefox
hangs for maybe 30 seconds and then comes back to life. Also, the flash
content obviously does not display.

I've attatched firefox crash file.
