Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

When sending mail the program seems to behave well. However the mail never gets
at the addressee (or myself if I send it to myself), there is no warning at all about this.

The same happens when I use thunderbird 2.0.0.6 on a windows systems (tried 2 different ones,
both same problem).

Using any other mail program gives no problems at all.

The server settings etc. where always ok, and have not changed (I reinstalled
thunderbird 1.5, which works fine as well)

If I delete the settings folder (~/.mozilla-thunderbird in ubuntu) it asks again for the
server/mail settings, and then it functions fine until I restart.

This is a bad bug since it does not become clear immediately that there is something wrong.
It does not seem ubuntu related, but really thunderbird related (platforrm independent)
