[Bug 163351] no flash in firefox dispite showing as installed

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

No matter what I am getting no flash showing up in firefox.  Packages show as properly installed and forum members were unable to diagnose problem.
using ubuntu 7.10 64, firefox 2.0.0.9 64 and File name: npwrapper.libflashplayer.so Shockwave Flash 9.0 r48 (about:plugins) in firefox.
All help appreciated!
