[Bug 163213] thunderbird 2.0 couldn't manage any attachment (pdf, archives..etc..).Every time i ty to open a file attached to a message it can't be opened

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

Every time i try to open an attached file (i.e pdf file, archive file (rar,zip)) of a message in thunderbird 2.0.0.6, it's not possible to open it.
 For a tar.gz i get this output error:

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: EOF unexpected in archive
tar: fatal error: exit
 
Instead ,if i access the email trough web and I download the file, everything works fine.
