there is a similar business with the mozilla-livehttpheaders extension.

I installed it, it is now visible as installed in synaptic, but the
Ubuntu Install/Remove extensions dialogue has no entry for it and the
web browser actually doesn't seem to function as if it were installed,
since there is no menu entries for it.
